Emma Di Marco Music is the online home for Australian classical saxophonist and D’Addario Woodwinds Artist, Dr Emma Di Marco.
D’Addario Woodwinds Artist, Churchill Fellow, and TEDx Speaker, Dr Emma Di Marco is an Australian contemporary musician, educator, and entrepreneur. Emma is widely recognised as an outstanding saxophone soloist and champion of Australian music having given performances in ten countries and counting. She has toured Australia twice as a soloist and has produced two studio albums with her saxophone quartet, Barega Sax. Emma’s work as an advocate for Australian music has resulted in over twenty new world being written for the saxophone and she has taken these around the world with performances at events such as four World Saxophone Congresses and the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference. She holds a PhD in Musicology, a Masters of Teaching, and a Bachelor of Music with Honours. Emma continues to build an active freelance career including performance work, teaching, sessional lecturing at the University of Queensland, and running her own business, Di Marco Music. Her debut album, Shimmer, is due to be released in 2025 with Corella Recordings.
Emma is also the founder of sheet music publishing company Di Marco Music. DMM’s mission is to become the biggest independent sheet music publisher in Australia by prioritising high quality Australian art music and exceptional music education resources. Beginning first with a saxophone collection inspired by Emma’s own performance work as a saxophonist, DMM has a rollout schedule of new compositions booked for the next two years across all Winds, Brass, Wind Ensemble music, and contemporary chamber music. Di Marco Music, sets itself apart by offering more than just sheet music. Our publishing company goes beyond the ordinary by providing workshops, masterclasses, and speaking services conducted by the talented composers featured in our catalogue. This unique approach allows musicians to not only play the music but also gain valuable insights and inspiration directly from the creators themselves.
